Tide bank feed not syncing to Xero

When the Tide feed stops, new transactions stop landing in Xero and a gap opens. Reconnecting handles the future; a CSV import handles the gap.

Why the feed stopped

Tide's feed relies on Open Banking consent that expires every 90 days. Once it lapses the feed halts from that date, and outages produce the same result.

Reconnecting doesn't close the gap

Reauthenticating won't backfill the missing period — you'll still have a hole from the stop date that needs importing without creating duplicates.

The fix — import the missing transactions

Export a Tide CSV for the gap (Tide app → Transactions → Export), run it through the Tide → Xero preset, and import the clean file. Columns and dates match Xero's spec so it reconciles straight away.
